Welcome to Arlo and Layla, OBOL’s two newest Pawsome Animal Ambassadors. Today we share their rescue stories with you.
Arlo (pictured above on the left) came from a rescue in LA whose owner goes to Tijuana and picks up stray, hungry doggies. He and his litter came to the US along with their mom.
My son Anthony and his wife Bailey wanted to get their own doggy and searched a few rescue places. When they saw Arlo’s photos, they knew they wanted him. He’s about four months old, and we’ve had him for about a month now. Arlo seems to be a very smart doggy. The kids already taught him to sit, shake, and lay down.
The bigger dog is my brother’s doggy, beautiful Layla (pictured above on the right). She is a rescue from a litter of parvo pups. The rescue cured them while my brother waited. When they were ready to adopt out, my brother went and picked her up. She’s about 5 years old.
Layla has been teaching Arlo outdoor activities, and they are having a whole lot of fun. They wrestle. They fetch and bring the ball back. Their interaction is adorable.
