OBOL’s Brad Smulson Named NBC4 News Hero

OBOL's Brad Smulson speaks with NBC4 News

A year after the devastating Woolsey wildfires, NBC4 News’ 4 Our Heroes and the American Red Cross hosted a special event thanking all the ARC volunteers and other volunteers from other organizations who helped in this awful situation, including OBOL’s very own Brad Smulson.

“It’s an honor to serve pets, wildlife, and people!” says Brad Smulson, co-founder and director of operations of Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL). He spoke with the station about the responsibility of helping families with pets during disasters.

The work OBOL did during the Woolsey fire is part of our every day Shelter and Rescue Group Support efforts. Not only do we help overcrowded shelters and rescues with crucial pet food and supplies, we also serve people and pets during emergencies. OBOL continues to be one of the many animal welfare organizations on the ground helping pets of owners during disaster reliefs.
