You can help animals become happier, healthier, and more adoptable. Bring your community together to collect essential supplies for animals in shelters, rescues, pets of the homeless, and families in crisis.

Why host a collection drive?

Hosting a supply drive is one of the most impactful ways to support animals in need. By organizing your own drive, you multiply your impact. One act of giving turns into a collective effort that provides food, comfort, and care to countless homeless animals. Whether you’re an individual, business, student, or teacher, a collection drive is a simple and meaningful way to make a difference.

How to organize a collection drive

  • Choose your location and audience

Decide where your drive will take place:

    • Your residence
    • Office or workplace
    • School campus
    • Community center
    • Faith-based organizations

Think about who you want to involve and how to make it easy for them to participate.

  • Set a clear goal

Clear goals increase participation and motivation.

    • “Collect 100 cans of food”
    • “Fill 50 donation boxes”
    • “Support 3 local shelters”
    • “Support and supply one dog or cat rescue group”
  • Pick a timeline

Most successful drives run for or 1–3 weeks

  • Promote your drive

    Spread the word through:

    • Social media. Tag us so we can support!
    • Flyers and posters
    • Email or newsletters
    • Group chats and community boards
  • Coordinate your drop-off

    Once your drive is complete:

    • Bring items to an OBOL drop-off location
    • Or coordinate directly with OBOL
