How to organize a collection drive
Choose your location and audience
Decide where your drive will take place:
- Your residence
- Office or workplace
- School campus
- Community center
- Faith-based organizations
Think about who you want to involve and how to make it easy for them to participate.
Set a clear goal
Clear goals increase participation and motivation.
- “Collect 100 cans of food”

Pick a timeline
Most successful drives run for or 1–3 weeks

Collection drives in action
One college student recently organized a collection drive as part of a school project and collected enough donations to fill an entire van with supplies for animals in need.
