Every week, the OBOL team has the privilege of witnessing small miracles happen. Moments where animals find safety, people find hope, and compassion brings us all a little closer together. This week was no exception.
Helping a service dog stay by his owner’s side
In Los Angeles, OBOL partnered with Catsnippers, PATH Partners, and North Figueroa Animal Hospital to assist a man working hard to rebuild his life. While receiving employment assistance through PATH, he also needed help caring for his service dog, Roxy.
Thanks to this community effort and OBOL’s supply donations, Roxy was fully vaccinated and cleared to remain by her owner’s side, ensuring that she could continue offering him comfort and support as he reenters the workforce.
It takes a village, and we are here for our communities every day.
A visit with wildlife survivors
Earlier this week, Eileen, Brad, and longtime OBOL friend Jill Anenberg visited the incredible Lockwood Family Rescue Center. There, they spent the afternoon meeting rescued foxes and other wildlife who have been given a second chance thanks to Lockwood’s lifesaving work.
Wildlife rescues like Lockwood are an extension of OBOL’s mission—because every animal, whether domestic or wild, deserves care, protection, and dignity.
Teaching the next generation to care for animals
In partnership with @thedetommasodogs, OBOL’s H.E.L.P. (Humane Education Learning Program) played an important role at a recent spay & neuter campaign in Tijuana.
Children attending the clinic were given OBOL’s bilingual coloring books, which teach compassion, responsible pet care, and the importance of treating animals with kindness. These small moments plant seeds that can grow into lifelong compassion.

Celebrating Father’s Day
Finally, OBOL celebrated Father’s Day, honoring all the amazing dads, both human and pet dads, who give love, protection, and companionship to the animals and people who rely on them every single day.
