I adopted Macie about 6 years ago when she was found running around the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve. I was contacted by some people who found her and asked if I would take her, and I said absolutely. From Day 1 she has been quite the character. She even taught herself how to open doors within the first few weeks of having her! After doing a DNA Test, I found out that she is a mixture of German Shepherd, Alaskan Malamute, Australian Kelpie, Chow Chow, and another Sporting Group. She is a very gentle and sweet animal, and is very in tune with people’s emotions. She can always make a bad day much, much better. I am so blessed to have her in my life!”
