OBOL Weekly Roundup Jan 8th – Jan 14th

Jan 8th

From Wendy S. Director of Student Services Director of Student Services Village Charter Academy
“Operation Blankets of Love is the perfect Service Learning Project for children, and young adults. Everyone loves animals and children need to learn how important it is to take care of them and provide them with love and care. Supporting Animal Shelters, Rescue organizations and Adoption centers is extremely important and making sure children learn about what they do and what they need in order to take care of animals will help them to grow into responsible caring adults that value animals and their care. How this wonderful organization supports children is through their visits to schools, sharing important information about what is most needed for dogs and cats to be cared for, adopted, and loved. Eileen came out to our school and gave a wonderful presentation along with a bi-lingual coloring book to each of our students, and ofcourse the OBOL ambassador Molly 🐕 came with her. The students loved the presentation and were so excited to get started with our Service Learning Project.
Every school should make Operation Blankets of Love part of their yearly fundraising projects, it is so easy to do and benefits so many animals.”
