In Loving Memory of Stephanie Niznik

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of one of OBOL’s most ardent volunteers, Stephanie Niznik. Her selfless dedication to animals and the homeless continues to inspire us all.

Stephanie cared very much about the work OBOL does, volunteering with us for over five years. Her deepest passion was working with OBOL’s Pets of the Homeless and Struggling Pet Owners program. She also loved spreading our mission to animal lovers who would visit our information booth at pet expos all over Southern California.

When OBOL’s mascot Ginger was sick, Stephanie came to OBOL headquarters with special healing stones that she believed would make Ginger feel better. Stephanie lovingly put the stones on Ginger’s collar and would massage her, too.

Stephanie was a very special person to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her two rescue dogs Jake and Nuke.
